WHAT IS DIXIE YOUTH CLOWN SCHOOL?

The unique and novel Dixie Youth Clown Club is a great opportunity for children,

age 5 - 12 years old, to provide voluntary service as well as a way to show love

and compassion to special needs children in the Special Olympics Program.

Dixie Youth Clown Club is currently accepting applications to develop skills in

clowning and other performing arts, but the Dixie Youth Clown Club will also

provide much-needed funding for Special Olympics.  Children in the DYCC will

learn clowning, dancing, simple musical instruments, singing, magic, mime, comedy,

tumbling, marching, performing and assisting with miniature horses.

With any combination of these skills, your child will have the opportunity to

participate in musical and theatrical productions, fairs, festivals, rodeos,

carnivals, parades, school assemblies, grand openings, special promotions, nursing

homes and birthday parties.

Everyone associated with the Dixie Youth Clown Club is a volunteer!  Board

members, performance coaches and class instructors give freely of their time

and talents to provide a worthwhile learning experience which builds character

and self-esteem.  It's also a whole lot of fun!!!
