Animal Shelter Project: Building a hay shed!

September Projects

 

► Hurricane City Parks Department tree planting project. If you enjoy gardening or landscaping this is a great project to participate in.  It is tentatively set for Saturday the 29th from 8-Noon.  Bring gloves, a hat, and a shovel.  We have about 250 trees or shrubs to plant, along with landscaping, so we will do this several Saturdays until it’s done.  This project will help make Hurricane City a better place to live!

 

Every Wednesday June & July from 9am-Noon.

Meet in the Computer Lab; enter through the outside door.
 
                                                                       

Upcoming Projects

 

► Confluence Park Trail.  This project is pending approval from the Confluence Park Committee.  If approved, this will be fun for those who like to do things outdoors and in nature.

 

► Confluence Park Benches.  This project is sponsored by the Hurricane Lions Club.  We will be building and finishing redwood benches to put in Confluence Park.  If you enjoy building things out of wood this is a great project for you!

Summer of Service!

 

Many of you participated in this program over the summer.  Thank you so much for taking the time to service others and improve our community.  Everyone who completed at least 25 hours of service during June, July, and August will earn a t-shirt and certificate.  Turn in your volunteer logs at the Hurricane Intermediate School by the end of this month to receive your awards.  If you have any questions call Samantha at 635-9663 ext.301.
