The Volunteer Center of Washington County, in partnership with judicial authorities, provides projects and scheduled assignments with local non-profit agencies to those court ordered to complete designated hours of community service.

HOW DOES OUR PROGRAM WORK?

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE REFFERED TO US FOR COURT ORDERED SERVICE?

Before you get started, please keep the following in mind:

̃ You should have your court information with you as you come in. Please know which court referred you (because we work with numerous courts), who your judge/probation officer is, and have other pertinent information which we will use to notify the court of your progress, completion, or non-compliance.

̃ Before we will give you an application, you must pay your court ordered community service fee! We charge $25.00 for every 50 hours of service. Keep in mind that the Volunteer Center of Washington County does not accept credit cards or have sufficient cash reserves to break change. To avoid extra hassle, bring the correct amount of change or bring a check made out to the Volunteer Center of Washington County.

̃ Be completely honest with us. We coordinate court ordered opportunities to various sites and some charges may disqualify you from particular service. If you omit information, we will find out.

̃ You can sign up for court ordered community service from 8:00 A.M.—5:00 P.M. Monday—Friday (excluding holidays).
